At the end of March 2026, two important innovation events will bring together stakeholders from across Europe, creating a unique pathway for collaboration, networking and business development within the framework of the SustainX and SAge-Hub projects.
The journey begins on 26 March 2026 in Iași, Romania, where Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ) will organise a conference gathering innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, SMEs, investors and policymakers to discuss the future of digital transformation and innovation. As part of the event, a dedicated onsite matchmaking activity will also take place, offering participants the opportunity to connect directly with potential partners, collaborators and innovation actors from different European regions.
Immediately afterwards, on 27–29 March 2026, JOIST Innovation Park, together with the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED), will host Innovent Forum 2026 in Larissa, Greece. As one of the region’s key science, technology and innovation events, Innovent Forum will bring together startups, SMEs, research organisations, investors and innovation support stakeholders in a dynamic setting designed to strengthen cooperation and create new opportunities.
Within this framework, the SustainX Matchmaking Event will take place in synergy with SAge-Hub, another project funded under the I3 Instrument. Building on the connections initiated in Iași, the Larissa event will further expand matchmaking opportunities, allowing participants to continue discussions, explore synergies and develop concrete collaborations across ecosystems and sectors.
To maximise participation and networking potential, Innovent Forum 2026 will also offer a dedicated B2B matchmaking platform powered by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). Through this platform, companies and organisations will be able to participate both onsite and online, schedule targeted meetings and connect with stakeholders from multiple European innovation ecosystems.
Together, these two events form a cross-regional innovation pathway, linking ecosystems in Romania and Greece and reinforcing the role of European cooperation in driving innovation, investment readiness and SME growth.
For SustainX, the matchmaking activities represent another concrete step towards strengthening interregional collaboration and supporting meaningful connections between innovation actors, SMEs and support organisations.
Through initiatives like these, SustainX and SAge-Hub demonstrate how I3-funded projects actively strengthen European innovation ecosystems by connecting people, ideas and opportunities across borders.
