SustainX is moving into the next phase of implementation: a series of regional training seminars designed to strengthen the innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Europe.
Starting from November 2025, partners from Bulgaria, Greece (Thessaly), Latvia, Romania (North-East Region), and the Canary Islands (Spain) will begin hosting training sessions tailored to the specific needs and Smart Specialisation (S3) priorities of their regional SME ecosystems.
A Tailored Learning Path for Each Region
The SustainX training programme combines on-site and virtual sessions to provide flexible, hands-on learning opportunities for participating companies. Each regional partner will lead three training modules — two in-person and one virtual — between November 2025 and April 2026, followed by five interregional webinars (January–May 2026) connecting all SMEs across Europe.
The themes of the sessions have been developed based on the needs expressed by participating SMEs and focus on key areas such as digital marketing, business model innovation, open innovation, and sustainability integration. Each training aims to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs while promoting environmentally responsible and innovation-driven growth.

Connecting Regional Insights Through Collaboration
To complement the regional seminars, the SustainX consortium will host five interregional webinars between January and May 2026, creating a platform for shared learning, peer exchange, and cross-border collaboration among participating SMEs.
Through this structured and interactive approach, SustainX will help companies strengthen their innovation capabilities, integrate sustainability practices, and expand their presence in digital markets. The combination of regional focus and transnational exchange ensures that the programme delivers both local impact and European added value.
By launching this next phase, SustainX continues its mission to build a connected, capable, and competitive network of SMEs ready to drive Europe’s sustainable and digital transformation.
